After almost three months, BlackBerry releases the expected update to its applications.
Beta users are already getting used to it, but anyone who is not on beta should run to the Play Store now to update the BlackBerry apps that received an update that is essentially a redesign of the apps.
The change also includes changing the BlackBerry Hub to the BlackBerry Hub Inbox, as well as the Notes and Tasks that have changed their name to BlackBerry Hub Notes and BlackBerry Hub Tasks respectively. All of the apps in the feed have an innovative design that is more appropriate to Google’s requirements.
All apps have a shortcut menu to get to the important tools in each app. In the Contacts app there is one additional improvement that allows you to choose which contact information you want to share with others.
As mentioned above, the main change can be seen in the Hub, when Google changed its policy regarding how applications interact with the user’s call log and SMS , so the Hub will need to be re-enabled for both of them. That is, all the calls and text messages that have hitherto been in Hub will no longer appear, but will remain in their place in the designated applications.
