The new Incredibles picks up where the last left off.
In the last scene of the Incredibles, a new villain emerged. The Underminer! And our heroic family donned their masks and we knew that they were heading off to be the heroes they were. That was 14 years ago, And from the looks of the new trailer, the Incredibles 2 will pick up right where the last left off. Except, our expectations appear to be a little off.
In the new trailer, we get a little more of the storyline, and apparently the family does not become the super-team we expected. At least not at first.
Instead, Elastigirl seems to be the commercial hero of choice. Mr. Incredible is relegated to the role of Mr. Mom, and Jack-Jack’s newfound powers don’t seem to be making that all that easy of a job.
Needless to say, CGI technology has come a long way in the last 14 years, and the visuals of The Incredibles 2 look, well, incredible!
The movie hits theaters June 15, 2018 with most of the original cast returning. Spencer Fox, who originally voiced Dash has been replaced by Huckleberry “Huck” Milner. Not too surprisingly, Fox, who was only 10 years old at the time of recording the original voice, doesn’t have the same voice as he did 14 years ago.
