Rev Grim Says… What if Everyone Worked Together?

Hello there again you lucky BlackBerrians!

All these rumours on BlackBerry making an Android phone and then Microsoft doing the same got me thinking…

What if these rumours are, well, sort of true?

What if BlackBerry are also making a Windows phone? Or Samsung making a Windows phone? or Microsoft making a BB10 phone… as well as Samsung?

What if everyone has decided that, because of the whole Google/Apple domination thing and the whole IoT, they were going to all make phones that could run each others operating systems?

It might explain why no one as yet has denied these BlackBerry/Microsoft/Android rumours.

BB on android-tile

So realistically, you could have a BlackBerry with the usual Android runtime error or the blue screen of death, or a Samsung (or the like) with blue screen of death or running so much better than anyone would ever have thought with BB10… or even a Windows phone… Nah, I’ll leave it there.

Now I’m not saying this is true, I’m not even saying this is a rumour (Before someone jumps on this and says its fact, you know who you are!), what I’m saying is, could this be possible? I’ve heard a few ‘BlackBerry making a dual boot phone’ rumours which could also be true. What if they all got together and worked together to give us, the consumer, something that we want? I’d stick to BB10 on a BlackBerry obviously, but what if you wanted a massive screen like the Huawei’s P8Max but running BB10? Or someone brings out a phone that has a camera on it that is on par with a proper camera? Maybe there are some Windows/Android diehards that want their operating systems on a Passport?

I know all of this is pretty much pie in the sky but what would Apple and Google do? Especially as BlackBerry are involved, after all, if they make a new Android or Windows system that is as secure as BB10 then Googles Android and Apples iOS will be shot down quicker than the Luftwaffe by a Spitfire!

Like I say, I’ll be sticking to what I love best, BB10 on a BlackBerry handset, after all, if it ain’t broke… don’t fix it!

Until Next time!

Reverend Grim is outta here!

Reverend Grim

Who is Reverend Grim? Not many people know. He has a channel on BBMC C000117D3 where he smites the rotten Apple. He has a photographic channel too C0045B753 seeing as he's actually a photographer. All we know is that he preaches the safe, secure word... BLACKBERRY and BB10! He will welcome anyone #BacktoBlack and into the United Temple of BlackBerry for a sermon and a cup of tea, even Brad who doesn't understand a word he says!

Sorry but I would much rather be discussing what the huge specs of a BlackBerry Passport are for and speculating about what future OS10 updates will bring. The OS is now taking up about 1.5 gb what will it look do when they add more and more.

That’s what we should be concentrating on. Discussing and getting excited about. After all BlackBerry has always allowed it’s users Base to participate in testing it’s new operating systems. We are nothing but vocal about what we want our BlackBerry devices to be doing.

I don’t have an ounce of interest in telling BlackBerry what an android phone should do.

Sorry guys this rumour is running thin for me.

This one is all in jest! Take a closer look at the picture…

Feeling in BlackBerry site is obvious some users would love this. Aren’t they going to be disappointed and feeling let down again by BlackBerry when they don’t get their BlackBerry Android. If they did produce one I can’t come up with one reason to purchase it.
Until BlackBerry come out and deny or admit it, it’s an awful waste of space for me to be chatting about something we know nothing about.

Well some day we may see this. With QNX, the possibilities are endless unlike ios and Android which seem to be maturing to a point that we saw with the old BBOS. You never know where things might lead from here given that BlackBerry has the ability to run all of these operating systems on one single device at the same time.

All this speculation started with people inventing their own news when they couldn’t find any… there’s people developing whole businesses on just leaks and renders….what a crock

  • Anthony

A better rumour is BB10 on an all-touch Samsung device. Having BB10 on more devices in carrier stores would look better.

  • Blackjack

Why Grim! I never knew what a pacifist you are. What a great idea for whirled peas! One world, one phone, infinite OS selections! Can’t we all just get along?

    • Reverend Grim

Of course we can all get on! As long as everyone accepts BB10 is the superior OS!

  • duantox

QNX hypervisor release date: 2015 third quarter.
BlackBerry slider release date: 2015 third quarter.

    1 device, 2 OS.
    I have to say more?
