Rev Grim Preaches – Helping The Unbelievers One By One

I Do Like Helping...
I Do Like Helping…

Hello my favourite BlackBerrians!

Sunday again? Gosh, time for a sermon, I think…

Your beloved Reverend Grim here with some rather exciting and, well, damn right funny news!

It all started earlier this week…

First of all on Thursday, I was off to pick the Mini Grim’s up from school when a rather stupid Sheeple was trying to take a picture and stepped in front of my car! He went for a burton and so did his iPhone… under my nearside front wheel! Well I threw abuse at him for being an iDiot and hitting my car, funnier still, so was his wife! And she was holding his prized iPhone, I say prized because now it is, I’ve made it look so much better by putting that beautiful crackling effect across the screen.

So that was a job done well. But there’s more…

Yesterday, as you may or may not know despicable phone retailer Phones4U here in the UK won’t stock our beloved BlackBerry handsets, DISGUSTING!

Well, I was in PC World looking for a new computer to blog you guys with, mines getting old and the scythe is going to fall onto it soon, I can’t leave you wanting and me not supplying my sermon’s for you now, can I? Inside PC World is a Phones4U booth and one of my Mini Grim’s wanted to look at the tablets. I was standing there looking for phones that obviously don’t exist in their little part of the universe when a sales assistant asked if I needed any help…

Well, you know me, I can’t resist helping the errant ones.

I said well, actually yes, Mrs Grim is about to upgrade her phone on O2… he said sorry, we don’t deal with O2 but they could do a great deal with another company. OK I said, she would like a BlackBerry Z30 with a fair chunk of data, knowing full well they don’t deal with Blackberry. He said he was sorry but no go there either, why does she want a BlackBerry?

Oh dear.

Well, what more could I say. She does a lot of our banking on her phone and what with Apple having so many problem with security and the phones being bricked by update’s etc an iPhone was out of the question and seeing as 1 in 3 Android app’s contain malware there was no way on earth she wanted one of those pieces of sh… so a BlackBerry was the only way, do you see?

He then tried telling me that Android have antivirus apps we could get to cover that and don’t forget Android has more apps than BlackBerry.

At this point you may be thinking that for our Phones4U guy, this isn’t going to end well.

Read on…

Sorry mate, you’re wrong there, I pulled out the trusty Z10 and gave him the demo he should have been giving me, all the cool BB10 features we all know and love, Picture password he loved! Hub – loved it! Swipe gestures… amazed… then I went to my 1Mobile app, opened it and downloaded Candy Crush Saga there and then in front of his eyes, opened it and started playing, well, he nearly fell over! The poor, deluded soul.

He was sold on BB10, so much so that after I had told him the price I got mine for and the price Mrs Grim was quoted for a Z30 in Carphone Warehouse he decided that his HTC M8 was now being pushed aside and he was going to possess a Z30 asap, he was that impressed that as I walked out he was on CPW website ordering a Z30! He also promised to read up on! So Mr X,  (I’m not going to put your name, you’re a nice bloke and have now seen the light, hopefully a new job with CPW will follow soon!) I hope you are enjoying your new workhorse and if you have any questions, well, leave a note here and I will pop in and see you at work, convert your boss, he looked like he could do with being sheared and shown the way!

So, Phones4U, get with the program, get some BlackBerry’s in!

What more can one Reverend do? I spread the BlackBerry word and convert the poor unknowing sheep and release them from their despicable pens back into the world of safety and BlackBerry security!

Why don’t you come along to the forums and join in, let us know your experience in the big retail shops, did you have an assistant try and push you to a Samdung? Maybe they told a few little lies about different operating systems being old and outdated? let us know and lets stand together, in one great voice lets shout it out…….

We want great quality, we want great secure apps, we want our stuff to be OUR stuff…

So, until my next sermon I wish you all well and all a safe secure mobile experience…

You’ll need your BlackBerry for that then won’t you!

Reverend Grim out!

Reverend Grim

Who is Reverend Grim? Not many people know. He has a channel on BBMC C000117D3 where he smites the rotten Apple. He has a photographic channel too C0045B753 seeing as he's actually a photographer. All we know is that he preaches the safe, secure word... BLACKBERRY and BB10! He will welcome anyone #BacktoBlack and into the United Temple of BlackBerry for a sermon and a cup of tea, even Brad who doesn't understand a word he says!
