QNX is bringing their expertise to your dashboard.
Instrument clusters keep drivers aware and safe while operating a vehicle. There are a lot of regulatory restrictions on any digitized iteration of these instruments because of these safety requirements. They must be reliable, accurate, and quick to respond to any changes.
QNX announced today that they are launching the QNX Platform for Instrument Clusters, and that this platform is pre-certified for ISO 26262 and ASIL-D, which means that functional protocols for the clusters have been analyzed and their risk factors have been reduced to the highest degree measured.

QNX Platform for Instrument Clusters runs on the Neutrino SDP 6.5 OS. This realtime operating system allows manufacturers to build their digital instruments on the platform while reducing the time-to-market.
QNX is expanding their reach in the automotive world as they offer their refined OS and platform with these vital safety certifications for even more adaptability and functionality within our vehicles.
