Xbox and Axe Body Spray team up to bring a line of Gamer inspired personal care products.
If you haven’t already heard the news…or smelled it… Axe Body Spray has earned the newest partnership with Microsoft’s Xbox. With the growth in esports and egaming competitions, gaming has become more than a past time. It’s become a viable career option.
With that has come many corporate sponsorships and partnerships. Beyond the need for gaming chairs, headsets, keyboards and the like, other companies have banded together to bring gamer-themed products to market. Mt. Dew developed a new Game Fuel as the drink for gamers…. because, apparently, the original soda recipe needed more caffeine. There’s even a specially designed snack food infused with caffeine to boost gamer’s stamina.
By some weird twist, it’s surprisingly NOT called AxeBox. However, the line of scented products actually boasts a blend of aromatic herbal, citrus, and woody notes including clearwood, mint, and lemon. So, if you’re expecting a scent that emanates stale Doritos and your mom’s basement, you’ll be disappointed.
The argument can be made that these fresh blends of natural scents bolstered by essential oils can keep gamers confident in their personal hygiene during a long sesh. Some dungeon raids are just way better with lemony fresh minted patchouli. Bet it keeps the hordes away.
Now to break your heart: the Lynx line is not currently available in the states. Right now, the only release date is July 2019 for New Zealand and Australia. We’ll have to wait and see if North Americans will get to “Lift their game” too. With E3 coming up, we may just get as lucky as a gamer with a scents of humor.
