Google announced today that Android users will begin to see new notifications drop to their devices. Whenever a user’s account has a new device added to it, the user will see a notification on his current device. This will allow the user to review the addition and identify it as valid or flag it as suspicious.
The hope Google has of utilizing these push notifications is to create a more responsive end user experience. As users can more easily tap their approval through the notification, they are more likely to stay abreast of their device security needs.
All end users should begin seeing these notifications in the next 14 days. What do you think of this new step towards more informed device security?
