Earlier today it was announced that MobileIron CFO Todd Ford had tendered his resignation to pursue future endeavors. The timing is curious as they will be sharing their quarterly earnings report the afternoon of Thursday, April 30th. According to Seeking Alpha 1st quarter revenue is expected to be $32M-$33M, below guidance of $34M-$37M and a $36.3M consensus. Billings are expected to total $35M-$37M, below guidance of $40M-$42M. All-in-all, things don’t look good for MobileIron.
CEO Bob Tinker stated, “Near the end of the quarter, we witnessed multiple large deals from North American customers that did not close as expected. Further, we saw a large shift by customers to our monthly subscription offering, which resulted in lower billings and revenue.”
Wonder what the EMM experts over at Morgan Stanley have to say about this?
