Leap to launch in India next week?


BlackBerry’s latest handset – the BlackBerry Leap – is set to hit stores in India next week (according to this article on Indian Express) and, as its international price is $275, is set to be priced at Rs 20,000.

The Leap features a 5-inch HD screen, powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM 8960 processor alongside 2GB RAM. It boasts 16GB storage, and offers micro-SD support for up to 128GB. It will have an 8MP rear camera and a 2800 mAh non-removable Lithium Ion battery that could last well over a day.

The BlackBerry Leap will include BlackBerry 10.3.1 out-of-the-box, featuring must-have productivity apps such as BBM and the BlackBerry Hub, as well as being secured by BlackBerry technology (patticularly BlackBerry Protect, which allows you to see where you phone is when it’s lost – and even remotely wipe your BlackBerry!!
