News came out today about casting for the next installment in this franchise.
It’s been 26 years since the world was introduced to Jurassic Park, a fantasy adventure that imagined what if someone brought back the dinosaurs. In the first film, Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler toured the park in wonder while Ian Malcolm cautioned about the science that created it. Malcolm’s warnings were prophetic as the park was destroyed in a single night of storms, electrical failures, and cloned predators.
News dropped today that the three of them will return for for the next flick, Jurassic World 3. Sam Neill, Lara Dern, and Jeff Goldblum are all returning for the film. In a super low-key way, Jurassic World posted a picture on Instagram to make the announcement.
The picture shows the three actors in their iconic garb from the first film. Neill, Dern, and Goldblum have all been in different Park and World flicks over the years. But this marks the first time in 26 years that all three will return to be in one of the movies together.
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are also returning to be a part of the cast. These two have been constant in the World sequels. So, fans of the new films can relax, because the duo will be present as well as the original trio.
Colin Trevorrow is returning to direct the third film. He directed both previous Worlds. Steven Spielberg, director of Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park will continue as executive producer for this new film.
Jurassic World 3 is set to release in 2021.
