Someone take that ball away from Jessica…
Jessica Jones is really the least heroic of all Marvel’s Netflix heroes. She just has too much baggage, as well as the most fleshed out backstory of any of their characters. Heck, even the ultra-violent Punisher tries to help people. Jessica is a bit more self serving.
In the opening seconds of the newest trailer for the Netflix series, she kind of explains why. And we kind of understand. Those that she’s explaining it to though, apparently other participants in an anger management class, seem to be a bit frightened by her story. Especially when her super strength kicks in while she’s playing with a rubber ball. I don’t know, but I really don’t think rubber balls are supposed to do that.
Viewers of the first season of Jessica Jones, know that the series was steeped in the gritty, and wasn’t exactly what you would call an action packed season. This trailer at least makes it appear that we’re in for more action this season, but we’ve been fooled before. The synopsis of the trailer doesn’t exactly build confidence in that action either.
“Jessica Jones is a hard-drinking, short-fuse, mess of a woman who is just trying to make a living as a Private Investigator in New York City. She’s super strong but is haunted by a dark past that keeps her from truly becoming a hero.”
Jessica Jones season 2 hits Netflix March 8th. Will you be watching?
