A teaser trailer for the sequel has broken records
Premiering last Saturday, Pixar’s The Incredibles 2 trailer has already surpassed 113 million views. That makes it the largest trailer debut for an animated film ever, and seventh overall. Those are some very surprising numbers for a sequel for a movie that was in the theaters 13 years ago. I guess in this case, calling this move “long awaited” would be speaking the truth.
The Incredibles is the story of a super powered family. Mr. Incredible, voiced by Craig T. Nelson and Elastigirl, voiced by Holly Hunter, who along with their children Violet (Sarah Vowell) and Dash (Spencer Fox) do the heroic thing and save the world.
The second movie picks up directly where the last movie left off. When your stars are cartoons, you don’t have to worry about them aging.
The trailer only shows Mr. Incredible and baby Jack-Jack. If you’re a fan of another member of the family, you’re out of luck. But in the trailer, Mr. Incredible learns that Jack-Jack has powers. Well, it’s about time!
Tell the truth, isn’t The Incredibles the Fantastic Four movie we all wanted?
The movie flies into theaters June 15, 2018
