I Stick With BlackBerry!

I’ve seen a lot of BlackBerry users who’ve moved to another Android devices, and now they just don’t care.

When I sat down to decide what I’m going to write about, I always look to the things that bother me. The transition of BlackBerry from making hardware in house to licensing was very difficult for a lot of users. A lot of loyal (back in the days) BlackBerry OS and BB10 users moved to another android vendors while BlackBerry brand devices in the android world came like Priv and DTEK’s.

While its ok to buy any brand you want, it’s free world after all. The thing is that those old hardcore BlackBerry lovers just don’t care now, and its pinches me. The statement by some people “If there is no BB10 I will leave BlackBerry to another Android device” is not holding water. Why you ask? Because today’s BlackBerry devices are giving the best BlackBerry experience since BlackBerry 10.

Most of those users used to lay on the fence for BlackBerry and now they will not buy BB devices ever. Its hard for me to see how the community, that once was united with all of the blogs and faithful users, has  become almost non-existent.

Maybe this is the new reality and maybe it will not be as it was just 2 years ago, but I’m not going to leave. BlackBerry today is more than devices while most people seem to care just about their devices. The world is moving from the regular smartphones to connected devices, we know it as IoT or EoT. BlackBerry always known for Security, and users loved them for their security, so why now security is not interesting enough?

I know that for some users BlackBerry Mobile is not really BlackBerry and they getting angry on them for some reason. It”s like we never got angry on BlackBerry back in the days (for every delay in OS update) but we loved the brand and devices so we forgive them. BlackBerry Mobile are still learning the BlackBerry business as I see it. The communication with the community will get better, the devices will get better and so the marketing.

For me the only thing that is frustrating, its that BlackBerry devices are not available in my country (I really hope it will change soon).

I can’t imagine my self without a BlackBerry device and security as I work (not by choice) with other MDM vendors and help to others with another smartphone makers devices.

All I want is that the community that was so alive, will once again show presence in the Mobile world.

This post represents my opinions and thoughts, and not the all UTB members.

I will be more than happy to hear what you liked and more about what you didn’t like in my post.
