Google Quietly Expands Live Album Limit

First noticed by users, Google has increased the limit to 20,000 photos and videos.

Are you a Google Photos user? Have you used the Live Albums function? With Live Albums, Google will automatically recognize and collect your photos of specific people, and automatically place those photos into albums.

This functionality was previously limited to 10,000 photos and videos. If you somehow exceeded that number, the Live Albums would refuse to accept any more files.

Google has now quietly expanded that limit to 20,000 images and videos. First noticed by a user, Google has since updated it’s documentation.

Hopefully those that use Google Photos and Live Albums will be happy with this change. However if you have over 20,000 photos of someone and it’s not a new baby or new puppy, you may have a problem.
