BlackDroid Device Identifier - james pisano - 02-06-2017

Hey guys. Has the device nomenclature changed since the TCL agreement? I guess, the first device they've designed is the KEYone, so I'm wondering if when you look up your device what does it say? My Priv is STV100-1 6.0.1. Are they continuing with this type of nomenclature?

From what I've seen posted, answer is yes. Except KEYone shows Nougat 7.1.1.
Think they are BBB100 (1 & 2 so far).

TCL didn't design to KEYone, BlackBerry did. From my understanding BlackBerry has full say so over specs and design and TCL is only putting them together for BlackBerry.

What is the significance of the Priv then? There's been some talk that it was the last device to XXX by BlackBerry. I thought it was the last one to be designed by BlackBerry. Know what it is?

My understanding is that TCL designed and built the KEYone but BlackBerry had some input.

BlackBerry has certain specs and features that have to be adhered to. They also take care of the software.
