BlackBerry Assistant - james pisano - 12-01-2017

I'm loving my Priv and BlackDroid, but I really miss BlackBerry Assistant. I turned Google off cause I don't trust him, so I don't have a way to hit a button and speak and do searches for information or places, etc. like I could with the BlackBerry Assistant.

It was so convenient to just hit the button and ask, and often, web searches were accomplished in the most efficient manner by using the Assistant.

Hit button for apps, there is Device Search.

I use that for searching my device. The Assistant was also great for searching the web... that's what I was commenting on.

I use Bing to search web. Never used BlackBerry Assistant.

I use Firefox and Duck Duck Go, but the Assistant was extremely convenient. For example, you hit a button and say "What time is the football game on tonight," and you would likely get the correct answer faster than you could by opening a search app and typing your query.

I do like using "ok Google". It is a fast and convenient way to search.

How about Amazon Alexa on your phone? Check out the Reverb app.

My suggestion was because I have never talked to my phone and never will. :)

I don't care about football, so I'm good
