Expansys Europe Will Sell The BlackBerry KEYone

If you are from Europe you should be smiling today as another big online store announced that they will sell the new BlackBerry. Expansys just announced online the KEYone pre order for European countries.

I tried to enter the USA and Canada sites but there is statement there that those sites now focus on B2B.

So if you’re from Europe you can pre order the device for 499 pounds or 589 Euro depending on your country. There is no mention as to when they will start shipping the device.

Great news to see more sellers getting on board!!!

Right. But until now only Canadian carriers and European online stores will carry it.

      • Observation Junkie

Correct, online stores…. while this is good, but not completely effective.

These same sellers existed when BlackBerry was in the handset market, including Carphone Warehouse. Mostly sold on line with no demo models in store.

The interesting question is, what is TCL bringing to the table to ensure these are displayed next to their own branded phones…in store?

By selling on line, all that TCL / BlackBerry is doing is cannabilising its existing user base. By getting it in store, they’ll be able to capture new users, those never used BlackBerry, and those who never experienced BlackDroid.

The answer is, TCL should be levering to get it in store….

So Europe will get KEYOne before USA?

    • Roy shpitalnik

Europe already get the KEYone before USA. Hope to hear news about USA carriers soon.

I expect TCL will do a much better job making the BlackDroid phones available through carriers and also a much better job marketing their BlackDroid phones in a way BlackBerry never did. Let’s just say the bar to be reached over BlackBerry BB10 in both these matters is not very high, and therefore will be easy to beat. How much higher TCL will bring this bar is the part that will be the most interesting. After all, selling a lot of KEYone’s is going to be their number one goal. How they do it is up to them.
