Just a week away from one of the biggest gaming conferences of the year, and several big titles are promising a peak.
The Electronic Entertainment Expo is one of the biggest events for game developers and fans. Studios showcase their biggest titles to get fans excited for the upcoming releases. This year proves to be no different.
There are new titles coming from several long-standing franchises like Final Fantasy and Pikachu, the fans and followers are eager for more. The Final Fantazy 7 Remake was promised four years ago, with little follow up. But more information and a trailer has come out this year, meaning Square Enix is boasting a big show.
A new title from Square Enix is also highly anticipated. Without so much as concept art, the Avengers title has generated a lot of buzz. Now that we’ve seen Endgame, its comforting for fans to know the game must go on…..perhaps with over 14 million alternate gameplays? Just a thought.
Call of Duty and Gears of War both also teased insights into their new releases.
One of the biggest adjustments fans may have to make is with the absence of Sony Playstation. They announced in 2018 they would not be participating in this year’s expo. They stated:
We are exploring new and familiar ways to engage our community in 2019 and can’t wait to share our plans with you.
Nintendo and Microsoft will likely capitalize on their absence and take advantage of the mitigated competition.
This expo promises to have a lot of shiny things to tempt gamers and provide hours of entertainment.
The title I’m most excited for? Borderlands 3. The first two and relative spinoffs have become one of my favorite franchises. Their rich characters, wit, and storytelling keep my expectations high. So, they better bring it.
Will you be watching the E3 updates? What titles will you be looking for?
