A new win for BlackBerry Radar, this time with with an insurance company.
A Fairfax company, DMC Insurance Inc. has partnered with BlackBerry to offer their customers BlackBerry Radar as part of an insurance offering.
WATERLOO, Ontario and FISHERS, Ind., June 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — BlackBerry Limited (NYSE:BB) (TSX:BB) and DMC Insurance, Inc. (“DMC”), a Fairfax Company and a leading provider of commercial transportation insurance solutions, announced today they have partnered to help trucking companies improve operations, increase safety and better manage the total cost of risk. As part of this agreement, the companies will develop insurance-based products and services using near real-time data from BlackBerry Radar, such as vehicle location, route and mileage, temperature, humidity, door status, and cargo load state.
