We speak about security and CyberSecurity and how it is extremely important to be on guard. We’ve covered the Yahoo hacks and Equifax hack and reported about the millions of users that was compromised and the data and personal accounts that now on sale in the dark net here.
All of this because management was arrogant about Cyber attacks and they didn’t do enough to prevent those hack or at least to try better.
At the Senate hearing both companies didn’t answer the important questions, not that they don’t want to, they don’t know how to, and that is much more disturbing. Yahoo have been hacked a few times and still now, since that last hack in 2013, the company still can’t answer how those hacks happened and why it took 3 years to find those breaches.
1 Billion accounts were hacked and Yahoo know “nothing”. How can users can trust Yahoo or what will become from this company after the sale to Verizon?
The Equifax story is no better as the company still don’t know who’s behind of the attack. We know that after every cyber attack or even while its happening, good cyber security personnel can at least know who’s attacking. Equifax apparently still don’t know.
It seems that money is more important to those companies then the security of their costumers. They give answers to the people who want to know how multi billion companies get hacked and they just don’t know anything. You can think that they do know the answers and maybe they prefer to hide it cause its just to difficult to show their failures and be punished.
