Cellucity will launch the BlackBerry KEY2 in South Africa

In 3 months South African users will have the KEY2 available.

In a  tweet from Cellucity, South African retailers who known for loving BlackBerry, the company said that the new device will be launched in September this year.

The company hasn’t released any other information other than launch date. Pricing and further details are sure to come soon.

If you somehow managed to miss the launch event last week, the BlackBerry KEY2 is the newest device by BlackBerry Mobile. This device brings the KEY series to the next level. The smartphone has dual cameras that allows all new features like super optical zoom and portrait mode with a bokeh effect. The bokeh effect is when objects in the foreground are focused and the background is blurred. This is achieved through the use of both cameras which gives the device the ability to recognize depth. A new keyboard design with 20% larger keys offers a better typing experience, and new updates to the Locker application which brings a browser, and the ability to place applications within the locker. There are two color options for the KEY2, Black and Silver and 2 storage options 64GB and 128GB.

The device is already available for pre-order in few UK retailers and the shipping will start at the end of June.
