While browsing through BlackBerry World today I came across a great new game by Winterworks GmbH called Bloo Kid 2. It is a 2D retro style game very similar to Mario Bros.
Bloo Kid 2
The game features 5 different World’s, each with 12 different levels to explore. It has pixel style graphics and a great soundtrack. If you loved Super Mario Bros then this game will definitely appeal to you.
Help Bloo Kid to rescue his girlfriend from the hands of evil. Run, jump and swim your way through collecting stars and other things while jumping on the critters that are out to get you.
It is pretty straightforward and has some clues/hints along the way. The game is an Android port and white playing it on the Passport there is the annoying menu bar down the bottom of screen that interferes with the controls. But if you swipe down from the top of screen you can easily hide this giving you full access to the controls, as shown below.
As I mentioned earlier, the game is an Android port and a quick search in the Google Play Store found it was also available there. It runs very good on the Passport and no doubt it will also run well on any Android device. I can highly recommend trying out this game, it is lots of fun!!
Bloo Kid 2 is available for BB10 devices in BlackBerry World for AU$1.99. It is a great game and we’ll worth the price. Bloo Kid 2 on BB10 has 15 additional bonus levels that dont exist in the free android version, hence the $1.99 price point :)

If you have one of the many BlackBerry Android devices you can also get it from the Play store for free. It does have ads and there are in app purchases to get rid of these. The Android version has 84 levels spread across 7 different worlds. You can grab it from the Play store HERE.
