BlackBerry vs Typo: BlackBerry Wins By Knockout

BlackBerry Wins Settlement Against Typo
Typo is no longer allowed to sell keyboards for phones.

The battle between BlackBerry and Typo, the makers of the low-quality physical keyboard (PKB) accessory for iPhones, is finally over. And not surprisingly, BlackBerry won by a knockout.

According to today’s press release by BlackBerry, Typo et. al. will permanently stop selling PKBs for mobile devices with screens smaller than 7.9 inches. Basically, that means they can sell PKBs for tablets, but not mini tablets, phablets, or phones.

This outcome was obvious and challenging it was a complete waste of money from the start. As the saying goes, “Fools and their money…”.
