BlackBerry to Buy File Sharing Security Company WatchDox


As reported by Globes, BlackBerry is set to buy WatchDox for a reported $100 Million.

According to Globes and their sources, BlackBerry will acquire WatchDox and set up an Israel based R&D center based on the acquisitions. WatchDox is a secure file sharing company founded in 2008 which allows enterprises control over shared documents and who is able to view them.

BlackBerry is expected to make an official announcement in the coming hours.  The more time goes on, the more we see that Chen is a man of his word.  He has already stated that now that they have stabilized the company, their focus is on growth and some of that will come through acquisitions. He has not disappointed.
