It’s A BlackBerry Story… My Device Story

I know that it  might be a little bit hard to understand my English, but I decided to share my BlackBerry device story with you, our UTB readers and viewers. Most of you don’t know me outside of this site, but you will have the chance to see more of me!

Mercury changes everything?

The Mercury announcement is one of the most important device announcements for the BlackBerry brand, and it seriously reminds me of the “before BB10 days”. BlackBerry Mobile can bring BlackBerry devices to greatness once again, and I can’t wait!

What do you think about Android OS as an evolution from BBOS ? What was your first BlackBerry device? Let’s hear from you in the comments and our forum.

My first BlackBerry was the 8820. I absolutely loved it for email and the keyboard was great. I moved on to the BlackBerry Torch, Z30 and then the Passport.
BlackBerry going the Android route was a necessary move to save the brand in the mobile space. Licencing TCL to produce future BlackBerry phones, including the “Mercury” might give the company a fighting chance. Unfortunately, I doubt that the device will be a “runaway” success because of the physical keyboard. BlackBerry die hards will love the keyboard, but who else will? Still, I am hoping that the device sells well, being the only Android with a physical keyboard.

I would not say Android is the step from BBOS. BBOS was excellent for PIM services. Emailing and messaging was always very fast.

My favourite BlackBerry is the Passport. Call quality is great, the screen is viewable in bright sunlight, the speakers are good, the touch keyboard is very responsive,…

I recently discovered a new feature. When you touch the “U” key on the Passport keyboard the screen wakes-up. o/

I have been using BBOS for the past 8 years. Earlier I used blackberry curve then I moved to Z10 and now I’m using Passport SE. As a BB lover I’m eagerly waiting for the next BB OS updates.
