Our favourite brand BlackBerry is no stranger to winning awards of excellence. Just think about the “Red Dot Awards” of 2013 to 2016 where BlackBerry swooped the designing section with the BlackBerry Z10 (2013) / BlackBerry Q5, BlackBerry Q10 and BlackBerry Z30 smartphones, all in (2014) / BlackBerry Passport and the BlackBerry PRIV respectively winning in the years 2015 and 2016. Also the Z10 won an “iF DESIGN AWARD” in 2014, adding another two in 2015 with the Z3 and the Passport! Jumping to 2017, the BlackBerry KEYᵒⁿᵉ received the award of the best of MWC and also at CES, taking the Global Business Mobile Phone of the year in 2018. Now again in 2019 this prestigious award celebration has befallen #TeamBlackBerryMobile

TCL, the licenced manufacturer of BlackBerry mobiles these days have taken the “Torch of Design Distinction” handed to them and presented a “Flame of Mobile Individuality” in the product line of BlackBerry by accepting two Design Excellence awards for the BlackBerry KEY² and the KEY² LE models at this year’s glitzy “iF DESIGN AWARDS” ceremony held at the BMW Welt in Munich, Germany on the 15th of March 2019.

The BlackBerry KEY ²is the heir to the successful BlackBerry KEYᵒⁿᵉ of 2017. Attentive to the values of BlackBerry it is also grounded in Productivity, Reliability & Security. The QWERTY of the new KEY² has a 20% larger keyboard than its predecessor which increases accuracy & efficiency all round. It boasts an upgraded battery pack of 3500mAh for the power hungry productivity writer pushing to the extreme of up to 48 hours on a single charge cycle. It comes in a colour range of Black, Silver & Red. Both KEY² models sport that funky “Speed-KEY”, …if you have one, you know exactly what I’m talking about. It builds perfectly on that already intelligent keyboard for maximizing the productivity experience.

In addition to the KEY² the KEY² LE is a toned version of its big brother. And as we say in cricket terms, a well-built “All-rounder” The LE model also heeds dual camera optics & the iconic BlackBerry keyboard with important security features that BlackBerry provides through the KEY² range. It’s iconic! It’s fashionably designed and it’s coming in three vibrantly modern colours, Slate, Champagne and Atomic. And YES! As you will find in any BlackBerry Android these days, the battery exerts enough muscle to last for two days with normal usage.

Shane Lee, General Manager of Global Product Center at TCL Communication had this to comment on the achievements after the ceremony: “We are extremely proud to have our devices designs recognized by such a prestigious organization which highlights just a bit of our product development capabilities within TCL Communication. Our teams remain committed to offering our customers around the world a genuine BlackBerry smartphone experience that offers an experience quite distinct from the rest of the market today.”

BlackBerry has always pride themselves on the core factors resonating through their mobile phones: Privacy, Productivity, Reliability & Security. And as “Castor & Pollux” light up the night sky in the constellation of Gemini, so do the award winning KEY² the KEY² LE brighten the relationship between BlackBerry and TCL for future product development. It’s not only we here at UTB Blogs that concur the majestic of a BlackBerry mobile, but also others and perhaps YOU² are emergent to the realization that BlackBerry will always remain the NEW BLACK…
