BlackBerry Customer Satisfaction in U.S. Rising Faster than All Other Smartphone Makers

One of the things I have noticed whenever I demonstrate the capabilities of my BlackBerry Passport in public is that in a majority of cases I get a positive response. It does not seem to matter whether it is a friend, family member or curious bystander, people are always amazed at the smoothness of the BB10 operating system, the HUB, the ability to access notifications from anywhere in the device, Time Shift and other features.

It seems that for many of the people I have encountered, the perspective that they had of BlackBerry was of the previous BBOS devices that were manufactured during the Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie era, when Apple and Android manufacturers where rapidly gaining market-share. For many of them, their perception completely changed once they were able to see a BlackBerry 10 device in person and experience some of the features that we all take for granted.

In other words, if you get BlackBerry 10 devices into people’s hands, the likelihood of them becoming future BlackBerry 10 owners increases.

As Eric Lai posted on the official Inside BlackBerry blog this morning, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), BlackBerry Customer satisfaction in the US is rising faster than all other smartphone makers. The conclusion was based on a poll of 70,000 smartphone owners.

The ACSI is the American Customer Satisfaction Index, an influential survey published by the University of Michigan that surveys more than 70,000 consumers in the U.S. on how happy they are with the products they own.

According to figures released by ACSI today, satisfaction among U.S. BlackBerry customers is growing faster than for any other smartphone brand, up 5% in a single year. That’s a continuation of a trend that sees BlackBerry U.S. customer satisfaction up 13% since ACSI began tracking BlackBerry customers in 2012. That total gain is also the largest among all smartphone brands.

Some of the aspects that BlackBerry scored high in were in

  • Excellent battery life
  • The ease of using the BlackBerry 10 operating system and software
  • The HUB unified inbox for messages and notifications

These are all great aspects; to add to the list of what I value most is the secure communications and the productivity that my BlackBerry 10 device provides me everyday

So in the grand scheme of things, focusing on what’s important. Never mind what BlackBerry claim, it’s what customers say that matters and, guess what?

They love their BlackBerry devices!
