The Toronto Police Service, the Missing Children Society of Canada (MCSC) and BlackBerry teamed up today to introduce the Missing Children Society of Canada BBM Channel. This channel would be apart of the Milk Carton 2.0 rapid response network. A network made up of law enforcement and Canadian citizens that would get highly valuable information in real-time.
BBM has a global strength of over 91 million active users across BlackBerry, Android, Apple and Windows Phones. Once a child goes missing, a wave of information will go out into the real world, to real people, who will have the power of knowledge to assist the family, local police and the MCSC in order to find the child as fast and safely as possible.
BlackBerry, UTBblogs.com and the MSMC encourage all Canadians to subscribe to the Missing Children Society of Canada Channel (C0012598C).
