Power driven by success, UK based automotive company ARRIVAL Ltd chose BlackBerry to be the cyber force behind their new revolutionary electric vehicle; the Generation 2.0 Intelligent EV.

BlackBerry will be responsible within the licencing agreement to implement their QNX SDP 7.0 real-time Operating System to function as a safe & secure foundation for the ADAS features within the company’s autonomous vehicle platform.

ARRIVAL Prototypes of the first fully functional autonomous-ready commercial vehicles powered by the BlackBerry’s QNX platform is planned for release in early 2020. Companies like DHL, British Royal Mail and the high-end department store John Lewis will be trial testing these autos. The Royal Mail already committed to 9 of these extraordinary electric commutes. QNX SDP 7.0 delivers high performance and enriched kernel-level security through its arrangement of features like Microkernel architecture, File encryption, Adaptive time partitioning, High availability frameworks, Anomaly detection, and Multi-level policy-based access controls. It will also bring forth BlackBerry’s next-generation QNX Neutrino, Realtime OS and QNX Momentics Tool Suite. This assortment will combat against Systematic malfunctions, Malware and Cyber-attacks by employing a multi-level, policy-driven security model that incorporates the best-in-class security technology currently available.

QNX SDP 7.0 has a certification of ISO 26262 ASIL D, which is the highest level achievable for automobiles!
