Some lucky users are finding they have a new option.
The Google Play Store has different play stores for different countries and different regions. Some items may be available to you, and may not be available to me. The reason behind this is primarily licensing and copyright issues, and for some really unlucky folks, censorship issues. Now, some people may find that they have access to more than one store.
The users that can take advantage of this, are users that have traveled to another locale, and made purchases in that other country’s Play Store. If that requirement has been met, users should now have the ability to switch between the Play Stores of those locales.
If you believe you fall in to this category, head into your “Account” settings within the Play Store application. If you qualify, you will see a new option called “Country and profiles”. From within this option, you can switch which country’s Play Store you are shopping.
I’m not sure how this will work with those licensing, copyright, and censorship issues, but for those that have issues with those things, this may be a welcome surprise. If this works for you, be sure and let us know in the comments below.
