Let’s make Marvel fun again.
If you’ve watched The Avengers: Infinity War and are feeling a little depressed, this may just be the movie for you as Ant-Man returns. After a comical first movie, and his comical yet heroic entrance in Captain America: Civil War, Paul Rudd returns as Scott Lang/Ant-Man. This time he returns with a sidekick, who, from the looks of it, is much better at being the hero.
Evangeline Lilly is back as Hope Pym who takes on the role of The Wasp. She shares the shrinking and growing powers of Lang, but she has a few tricks up her sleeve in the form of blasters and wings. Poor guy never had a chance.
This time the duo face off against Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen who can phase through objects. Michael Douglas returns as the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym, and this time Michelle Pfeiffer shows up playing the original Wasp, Janet Van Dyne.
In the trailer below, you’ll see how Marvel is taking a ridiculous power, and making it cool. Really, getting small and big is a super power? In a world that has Iron Man, Spider-Man, and a Hulk? The powers at the center of this franchise certainly wouldn’t be my first choice, but the way they’re used in the trailer, may have me rethinking that.
Ant-Man and the Wasp hits theaters July 6th.
