Will anyone who survived the first one return for seconds?
AMC Theaters had a novel idea for those wanting to catch up before Avengers: Age of Ultron. The theater chain held a 28 hour marathon of the Marvel movies leading into that story. Apparently the idea was a success, because they’re doing it again.
This time, the Marvel marathon will be preceding the release of Avengers: Infinity War and clocks in at 31 hours! Of course, since the last marathon, there has been more than three hours worth of Marvel movies, so some flicks are obviously not making it into the lineup.
AMC offers no hints on their website that is promoting the event. All we know for now is that the event begins April 25th and last 31 hours. Of course, the date makes sense if the marathon is to lead directly into the premier of the new release. With the last marathon, we received a list of movies with start times, and I’ll assume that will be forthcoming, but for now, it’s all up in the air what movies will make the cut.
I’ve got to admit, the idea of making a marathon of these movies surrounded by other fans, sounds fun. But there’s no way I’m doing that in your average theater seats.
If anyone is planning to experience the event, let us know.
