Vietnamese tech site Genk is reporting that the Z3 is coming to Vietnam! The launch event for BlackBerry’s low-cost but super awesome touchscreen phone is June 18th. The sticker price hasn’t yet been announced, but it’s expected to be comparable in cost to the Zenfone 5 A500 and Nokia XL. Genk expects that the Z3 will attract more users to BlackBerry in Vietnam.

As we have seen by the response in Indonesia, there is definitely a market for new inexpensive smartphones in Asia. The fuse has been lit.. let’s wait for the fireworks!

Great job on finding and reporting this first. A true fan site. With that said, looking forward to more and more launches for this device.

Great news! Looking forward to more great things that Chen may have up his sleeve and not divulging to us.
***on a side note something I noticed about your app that you may or may not be aware of (although you probably are). When reading the headlines on the main screen of the app, and it says 1 comment, when I click to read the comments it shows nothing. If I go to Web it shows it. It’s only when it says 1 comment. If it says 2 it’s fine.

From one Canuck to another, thanks!
We have noticed that as well. We are bundling that as a bug fix and a few more goodies into a forthcoming app update.
      Stay tuned!

The day before the earnings report, if true. Nice timing, usually the days preceding a BlackBerry earnings report have at least one major FUD article that gets play across the media spectrum, maybe Chen’s making a pre-emptive strike?

Next week is gonna be interesting. :)

    • Hey Gnomesane. Good call. I think Chen is adept at managing the street and he is thinking what you are. He is uber sharp. Good point!

Hopefully this launch will be just as successful as Indonesia seemed to be!

This is a country I don’t hear covered often, so I don’t know what to expect.
