Welcome to Insanity, Another iPhone Explodes

Seven days ago to the day, we reported on an iPhone 7 being delivered after exploding within it’s packaging. Today, we’re reporting a fourth iPhone explosion.

Allow me to steal the intro from another post;

It was just September 29th when we reported the iPhone that was delivered in an exploded stated.

It was just October 2nd when we reported that an iPhone exploded in the pocket of a student.

It is now October 4th, and another iPhone has exploded. This one resulting in injuries to the user.

That post was just two days ago. Today, there is a report of yet another iPhone exploding. This explosion is local to me.

Yvette Estrada from Fresno CA was abruptly pulled from her sleep with a flash of light, and a burst of flames emanating from her iPhone 6. The iPhone was charging on her dresser next to her bed when it blew.

“I heard a sizzling, then we heard the pop and the whole fire was coming out of the screen.” -Yvette Estrada

Yvette’s husband threw the phone which had started a small fire in a sink and ran water over it, telling Yvette to call 911. It was around 3:00 a.m. when firefighters arrived on the scene to find ash, debris, and a melted phone.

The blaze had damaged the dresser on which the phone was resting, a pair of glasses, and not one, but two Apple Watch stands.

“What if this would have been underneath my pillow or if I was on the phone? My face would be burned.” -Yvette Estrada

I think Estrada should be thankful that she and her husband are not heavy sleepers.

Stories of exploding iPhones are already a fairly regular occurrence. Four iPhones in seven days is taking this regularity to a whole new level.

    The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission should investigate this threat to the public!

    Why don’t iPhone users have to turn them off for the duration of a flight? Oh that’s right, it’s magical fire. Amazing that Samsung is getting nailed because of their battery issues yet no one gives a stuff if it’s Apple.

      Makes one wonder if Apple has bought off the media, carries and the American government…oh that’s right, my bad, they have!
