QNX to Provide LG with Software Platforms for Next-generation Automotive Systems

BlackBerry’s QNX subsidiary have made a major announcement today. They will once again be collaborating with LG Electronics on the implementation of next generation systems for the global automotive marketplace. As part of this agreement, LG will use a range of QNX software solutions including:

  • QNX® Neutrino® Operating System (OS)
  • QNX OS for Automotive Safety
  • QNX Momentics® Tool Suite
  • QNX Acoustics for Voice, a signal processing solution for automotive voice communications.

LG Electronics will also be leveraging QNX expertise, which will greatly assist them in achieving their goal of building QNX-powered infotainment systems, digital instrument clusters, and advanced driver assistance systems for global automakers.

      QNX is the “gold standard” where embedded systems is concerned. ios is so far behind that I doubt that they were even considered.

      Companies like LG and Ford know what quality is and went with a system that have proven itself over and over again. That is why the have gone with QNX.
