“Line” will end support for BlackBerry OS’s

Line, the messaging app that popular specifically in it’s four major areas of Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Indonesia, are ending support for older operating systems and BlackBerry OS is among them. It  would seem that many of you won’t be affected based on the location in the world.

Line announced that in July 3rd 2017 they will end support of the following OS’s : Firefox, Nokia Asha, Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry.

From April 27 Line will not allow new accounts from users. Weird decision as if they end support why anyone will try to create new account? For most BlackBerry users Line app doesn’t say much, but this is yet another “Big App” that’s leaving BlackBerry behind, like WhatsApp and Facebook have already done.

BlackBerry Android users aren’t affected from this move, for the obvious android support continuing.
