Is There a Media Shift Happening?

NewsTalk650CKOM

This may not be huge news but it is a small sign of a shift in the media perception of BlackBerry. As I was driving to work today listening to Saskatoon’s 650 CKOM news talk radio, I heard a very interesting commercial.  It was a little corny but I was surprised with what I heard.

It’s goes a little something like this:

“Is that CKOM in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? That’s right, download the CKOM app now. Available for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry. ”

This was a nice surprise to me because it has been a very long time since I heard anyone advertising their app for BlackBerry. Could we be in the middle of a slow shift? Are people finally waking up and realizing that BlackBerry isn’t going anywhere?

So for those BlackBerry 10 users interested in keeping up to date with some of their local radio stations

A media shift when you hear “…for BlackBerry, iPhone, Android, and Windows”

Also on the Jazzradio.com app/ webservice they advertise:

available for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry 10 and Windows Phone

CBC Radio advertises their mobile app for iPhone, iPad, iPod (like there’s any difference) Android and BlackBerry 10 device.

I hear more and more support for BB10 advertised.
