How To Stream Your Personal Videos And Music From The Cloud To Your BlackBerry

Rock-Zone

Ok, it might not be Rock for you but here’s the thing. You may not have realised just how easy it is to stream music and video files from your personal Cloud to your BlackBerry.

What do I mean by personal Cloud? Well, in this case I’m talking about Box, Dropbox and One Drive but also about the power of Remote File Access via BlackBerry Link. In all these ways you can increase your storage space to pretty much infinity and STILL stream effortlessly to a BlackBerry.

Here’s Dave to explain:

So, in just a couple of minutes, that wasn’t so hard now, was it?

Just the joys of having a NATIVE FILE MANAGER that INTEGRATES WITH THIRD PARTY CLOUD SERVICES I suppose.

So, if you are reading this and you DON’T have a BlackBerry maybe it’s about time you asked yourself a very important question…

Can your phone do that??

Very cool. I wonder if it would work with a NAS connected to your home network. e.g. a Synology NAS.

Wow! Where were you guys yesterday before my Mum’s Memorial (see how I said ‘Mum’ for Biggly?) I was really struggling with uploading videos to box from the caretakers PC and downloading them to be played…tookforever and barely got it done in time. With more time I would have uploaded more!

Awesome thing to keep in mind as the relatives that could not be in attendance log in to view what I’ve uploaded. Thanks Biggly, or Dave! Or whoever gets credit here!

Dave, I’d say as he took the time out to make the video. But thanks BlackJack either way…

I love our How To’s, just another reminder of how advanced BlackBerry 10 is, and how poor the competition is in comparison.

Oh, and a special thanks to Jackie in our Brit BBM Group for asking the question and therefore being the inspiration for this article!

    Cheers Jackie!

Thank you . Didn’t know IOS and Android can’t do that.

Having a native file manager is a “joy”. Name your files and pictures and using the Assistant and FIle Manager is joyous.

Android has 3 party file manager , so could you not transfer the video to Drop box and could ios take a video then transfer it to Dropbox to view it later ? Or is it with Android and ios I need to download the video from Dropbox to my phone to view it ?

BB10… it’s just so much better.
