Here They Come To BBM Channels…

They're Coming!
They’re Coming!

Yes, the inevitable is happening and the iPhone hordes are descending on us.

And since they love to queue and then rush at things in one big go, new channels are popping up all over the place paying homage to the Fisher Price totem.

But, what to do for us BlackBerrians? How should we welcome the iPhonian onrush?

Do we ignore them?

Do we get upset about them soiling our sacred space?

I have an idea.

How about reminding them that when they log into BBM Channels they’re using what is, effectively, a BlackBerry 10 emulator, albeit with their heap of scrap keyboard.

So, in a fantastic twist of irony, every time they log in, they’re actually doing the one thing they said they would never do.

They’re using a BlackBerry.

So, why not go the whole hog now they’ve learned how to use a bit of one and make their lives complete?

Upgrade your lives, guys…

Buy a BlackBerry.

When Instagram first came out in 2010 it was iOS only. It took almost two years to get to Android. When it became obvious to iOS users that Droid Nation was coming there were quite a few “snobs” that were vocally against it.
Like Biggly says, bring ’em on. Let the masses see what goodness we know.
    Black is back baby.

To this day my wife regrets that the BB Torch she wanted to get 2 1/2 years ago was out of stock and she ‘had’ to go with an iPhone 4. She now has Channels and sees what I’ve been talking about for months. Unlike me, she will wait out her contract – come November she will be “Back to BlackBerry.”

Beautifully put Sarek, you’ve inspired my next post!
