It was last year in September of 2015 when BlackBerry announced the acquisition of Good Technologies. That deal was completed two months later in November. As BlackBerry streamlines support for its products they’ve decided to roll support for Good into BlackBerry Technical Support Services (BTSS).
Good Support Migration to BlackBerry Technical Support Services
On November 25 2016 BlackBerry will decommission the regular Good support portal for opening new tickets. Using the BTSS portal customers will have access to:
- Create support tickets
- Manage support tickets
- Review online training
- Search Knowledge Base content
- And much more
It makes sense to amalgamate the support services for these products. BlackBerry can much more easily manage and view reports on a single support queue as opposed to multiple. Along with that, they are gaining efficiencies as well.
