BlackBerry and Google to Host Security and Android Management Webinar

BES 12

Never thought you’d see these two companies in a positive headline together?  Well here it is folks.

BES administrators across the world have been receiving invites today to a webinar hosted by BlackBerry and Google on Thursday October 15 at 11am ET.  This webinar will be covering Android management in the enterprise with BES12 and Android for Work.

The reason for this webinar is stated with the e-mail proper;

Android is the world’s most popular mobile platform, with an 85% share of the market. It’s no surprise that it’s also the target of 98% of all mobile malware. User adoption and security threats are both considerations that business leaders need to address.

With BlackBerry expected to launch it’s new Android based Priv device later this year, it is a positive move from BlackBerry to be partnering with Google to show Enterprise users how they can best secure their Android Operating system for enterprise use.

So if you’re an MDM administrator set aside October 15th at 11am ET and hear how the experts do the job.  This looks to be a really interesting one.

    I guess this means pigs are flying. Next thing we’ll see is hell freezing over and all carriers pushing a BlackBerry device. locco_smiley_29

    Generally, those Webinars are by invitation only. If you have not received the email, you may not be able to register. Of course, you can try anyway. locco_smiley_27

    Now that’s a good thing!

    If only they could come up with a better logo than a barf green colored robot….and ditch the sugary OS names. Then maybe pigs would be flying.

    This could be lucrative for Google. It will be easier to scan emails for ‘good ideas’. Companies will be scratching their heads wondering how Google is beating everyone to market. locco_smiley_36

    Damn you Google, BlackBerry should just buy them out, LoL, if only!! Hopefully BlackBerry will help to solve the security issues with Android and protect us from the big green droid’s spying antics. Now, just release that Priv, I need a new toy for Xmas :)

    I had to sign up for this. Can’t wait to see how they organize and present it!
